2022.01.20 03:00 BlakeBlack9 Why did you do what I asked you to do?

So last week I get an email from a manager at one of our clients, about creating a new mail distribution group for a set of users. At the bottom of their email, they added "Please remove everybody from [existing mail distribution group] except myself". So I email them back and asked them to confirm that they actually wanted everyone except themselves removed from this distribution group (used to contact an entire team that he manages). He responds almost immediately that I was indeed to cull the existing group.
I then go ahead and complete his request and move on to other tickets. Assuming that maybe no one send emails to the whole team anymore, or the team was dissolved or will be replaced.
Later that day the manager sends me a request to remove two users from a distribution group that did not exist. He did not reply to my confusion about what the email address is for the group he is now talking about, since I cannot find it.
Fast forward to today, when I receive one ticket to add someone to the previously culled group, one one reporting that no one from the team are receiving the emails sent to the culled group. So I give the manager a call to ask why users are requesting to be added to this group that I had removed everyone from and from there it went something like this:
Manager: "Everyone should be in there."
Me: "Well I removed everyone last week."
Manager: "Why did you do that?"
Me: "Because that's what you asked me to do in your email last week..."
Manager: "No, I only asked you to remove a couple of people from it."
Me:" Your email about those users did not refer to [culled distribution group]"
Manager: "We must have crossed wires, because I did not mean for everyone to be removed"
Me: "We definitely had a miscommunication there. I will restore the users that were removed, except for User1 and User2 that you mentioned in that later email.
Manger: "Thank you" *clunk*
So I put everyone back in the group and close the job. A while later I get a Teams message from my boss who confirms for me that the manager was crystal clear in both emails that they wanted to cull the distribution group of all users, causing his whole team to stop receiving emails for almost a whole week...
I probably should have pointed out that following his request would prevent his team from from receiving emails addressed to everyone, but the manager was so specific in both of their emails that I assumed they knew what they wanted. Lessoned learned, question every client request, especially the confident ones.

2022.01.20 03:00 lonelysoul-1 Hi. "The one" doesn't exist.

I've lost count of how many times I've met someone I thought was so incredibly special and unique and how I was meant to find her and she was meant to find me, until the relationship doesn't work out for any number of reasons and I stop seeing her in that light. Some of these infatuations have lasted for weeks, some for months, one for 4 years. The latter was a close friend of mine with whom I was so deeply infatuated that no matter how I looked at my future, I could never, ever see myself with someone else. I don't see any of them in that light anymore. Mostly because none of our relationships panned out, but that's the point. I was biased and maybe a little desperate, so I placed them on a pedestal no one deserves to be placed on.
I'm a very niche kind of dude. My interests don't match up with a lot of men my age, let alone women. This is why whenever I meet a girl who actually likes the things I like, I feel like I lose myself in thinking that she is "the one" meant for me. I start panicking and worrying about whether or not she likes me, when what I should be worrying about is whether or not I like her. Her, not her interests and hobbies. And in most of my cases, when I look back at the women I was infatuated with, I never really liked any of their personalities. Maybe a couple, but not enough to want to spend the rest of my life with them.
There isn't a single "someone" meant for every one of us. The truth is, you can never really know whether you're compatible with a person or not until you actually get into a relationship and live with them for a good few years at the least. So, the next time you meet someone special, take it easy. Don't stress about the future, don't stress about "messing it up", don't worry about whether they like you back or not. Instead, try to gauge whether you like them or not. Not their hobbies, or the way they smile, or that unique emoji they send you with every text. Them, their personality, their beliefs and ideologies. Most importantly, understand that if it's meant to be, it'll be.
This was mostly a message to myself but I hope it helps someone else too.

2022.01.20 03:00 garrett0713 Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2017) is on par with the 2005 version, even better in some regards

The 2017 Star Wars: Battlefront 2 gets a bad rep for the horrible launch, but has came a long way and is almost unrecognizable. A lot of the folks who say how crap it is are still in the 2017 mind frame. While I do believe BF2 2005 might be the greatest Star Wars game potentially ever, I think the hero gameplay in 2017 crushes 2005 in every way. There is skill and strategy that goes into playing the heroes. In 2005, most of the lightsaber heroes are almost identical but with slightly different powers and swings. Also, I think 2017 has the better selection of game modes, even without galactic conquest. i’m ready for a mob if there is one

2022.01.20 03:00 Fatguy_littlecoat648 Georgia Boot Romeo Discussion.

I have had these boots for 5 years now without taking regular care of them. They have held up very well and only have become more comfy with age.
What I like about these boots is the fat bottom heel. I could be on my feet for 8 hours with no support. And 10 with support. So the bottom heel is a ankle saver.
They are slip on. Which Is just a preference. It is nice to pop them off versus sitting there for a minute with my mountain boots.
But these are just my favorite. The boot has other great qualities.
It’s time to go out and buy a new pair tomorrow. I have been looking at Chelsea’s because they have similar features.
Has anyone here tried these boots out?
