2021.10.27 13:01 Double_Highway_2126 Mass buy of Shiba inu occurring?
My fellow retards I wanna know is there a coordinated buy of Shiba that’s going to down this Friday as I have been reading on Facebook that their is going to be a mass buy of shiba by WSB on the coming Friday, any truth to it? Shiba has seen already seen a massive increase in its price in the past few weeks with many people already buying the coin as they believe this could be the next doggy coin and possibly a lot of money could be made on this. Has papa Elon tweeted about shiba?

2021.10.27 13:01 Lopsided-Signature87 DCA monthly or weekly? I'm thinking of investing regularly every month but over the time I could see a month is having huge price difference between bitcoin constantly. Is there any time stamp weekly or monthly where bitcoin could see a dip which makes better for DCA ? Any help is useful
DCA monthly or weekly looks good as the difference in between month is giving a vast change in btc price on average which makes the price difference much higher frequently

2021.10.27 13:01 lurker_ya Dead Scream Fortress
I haven't played tf2 in about 1 1/2 month. When I got back to play Scream Fortress yesterday I found that the halloween servers were dead and there were some ppl playing on regular servers. Usually for the past 5 years there was no problem when playing scream fortress. Last year I played at any hour of the day and the servers were populated. What happened?

2021.10.27 13:01 allredkidd Almost a Year!!! (What I've Learned)
I'll start with how it all begin with me accidently going into caffeine withdrawal. Last year sometime in mid October I randomly decided to stop drinking coffee for a week. In retrospect it was probably because subconsciously I knew I was addicted to it and wanted to test how it would feel without it (Boy did I feel it). The next week a grew extremely anxious. Not only that I had physical symptoms (Harder to breath, back pains, cold sweats etc.) I literal thought I was sick, in fact I went to get a covid test. I also went to the doctor (ER) because I was sure there was something wrong! After a few visits we figured it was caused by anxiety. All they could do is offer medication which I am glad God granted me the strength to deny.
One night a few days after, I told my wife that I was really tired and she suggested I get a cup of coffee. I went to our local seven eleven and picked up a small cup of joe. I kid you not, almost immediately I felt the symptoms subside. At that moment I knew my body was physically addicted to caffeine. If I am being honest I drank both energy drink and coffee when ever I felt I needed a boost without any regard to limits for years so it made since. After attempting to taper a few times and going down to about a half of cup I finally went cold turkey. No other way to put it other then I felt like complete sht. Dark thoughts, anxiety, irritable, Body aches, etc.
Just like you, I though how would I ever be the same. I started to obsess with research (which isn't necessary a bad thing) looking for any and every way to get through it. I found some pretty useful information including this thread. I would see different timelines for different people on how long it takes to feel better in which I now understand it depends on the person as well as their definition of feeling better. I can't tell you when you'll be feeling better but what I can tell you is you will start feeling better. One thing that I truly enjoy about this journey is that as you just keep feeling better and better. You'll start telling yourself if I feel this good imagine how I will feel next week next month or next year even.
I'll end it with this. I had a lot of issues that I thought were just a part of me that I now realize were due to caffeine. I could only imagine how many peoples mental health issues are due to some sort of withdrawal. Stomach issues, heart murmur, nervousness I thought was just a part of me. SMH that stuff is very powerful.

2021.10.27 13:01 outitgoes17 Should I ask my business partners for higher compensation and 1 extra day-off a week?
Here's the story as I see it:
A few years back I bought into a small, busy family business. 2 partners started this venture around 10 years prior. I needed a new change of pace at the time and they needed a third partner to help with all the usual day to day tasks keeping the place running plus managing the wonderful staff of about 15 individuals. During talks prior to myself buying in, we came to the agreement that I would buy the other 2 out when the time came.
So being that I would eventually become the sole owner, I've dove in pretty deep and spent many hours learning absolutely every aspect of the business possible. I'm at the point where I can jump into any position and be fairly successful. A Jack of all trades if you will.
For the record I hold both these individuals in high regards, I know they've worked hard to make the business successful and get it where it is today. The 3 of us usually work well together although communication can sometimes break down. They can be a little stubborn with change and I often hear "Well we've always done it like this" and that old school sort of mindset. Most the time I just try to understand their points of view and respect their experience. One partner, who has sights set on retirement very soon, works part time hours so is compensated a little less. I would handle their duties after they depart. This individual is very well set financially. The other partner shares the same salary as myself but takes twice or even 3x the amount of days off for vacations and trips. This one also works on their side hustle daily (kinda drives me nuts) while I'm putting more of my time into our business. They are not struggling financially at all.
About me: I have sort of a "Driver" type personality where I just go. I see something that needs doing so I do it (there is always something that needs doing at this place) I'm rarely if ever standing still or doing something non-business related. I need to be productive and am constantly helping out staff in an effort to make the business as efficient as I can. Most days are go-go-go. I understand this trait can be self-destructive and maybe lead to wearing myself out. Something I'll try and work on. Financially, I am nowhere near set and I live pay-check to pay-check like most.
Here's where I'll vent a little about my frustration. I've become the "go-to-person" for 90% of problems that need solving. Whether it's staff or the other owners who need assistance, have questions or simply don't feel like doing something themselves... I'm the one they come to. Most days I'll be the first one there and the last to leave. Among other things I've become the handy-man, the heavy lifter, the fixer and the "hey can you go get this" person. I cant remember the last time I asked either of them to do something for me but they are constantly asking me to do things for them. I'm the one called on when shit hits the fan and the business needs support day and night. When they're away, I complete their tasks. When I'm away, they get a staff member to do it for them. At the end of every week, I feel undervalued and over worked.
Looking back at some days and even entire weeks, they seem to be a blur. Especially when the one partner is away as they often are. Lately I've felt the effects of anxiety, depression and exhaustion. I'm burnt-out.
My plan is to ask for higher pay (which I know our business can afford) and a day off during the week instead of 6 straight Monday to Saturday. I would present this as a ultimatum. Like " I need to increase my quality of life, start saving for my future and spend more time on self care, this is what I'm going to require to keep moving forward with you both and the business. If we cant make this happen, than I need to move on "
So should I present this ultimatum? Am I over valuing my self? Should I just shut up and get back to work? These people are my friends (most days haha), I'd hate if they looked at me as some cocky asshole who thinks he deserves the word.
Thanks in advance :)

2021.10.27 13:01 autotldr Ukraine Destroys Pro-Russian Artillery in Its First Use of Turkish Drones
This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 65%. (I'm a bot)
Ukraine has destroyed the artillery of pro-Russian separatists in the country's east in its first combat deployment of a Turkish drone, the Ukrainian military announced.
The first batch of Bayraktar TB2 to Ukraine in July.
The Turkish private company Baykar, which produces the armed drones, describes the TB2 model as a "Medium altitude long endurance tactical unmanned aerial vehicle capable of conducting intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance and armed attack missions" with a range of up to 27 hours.
Ukraine and Turkey signed a memorandum in late September to establish a joint training and maintenance center for the drones in Ukraine.
The sale of drones to Kiev places Ankara in a delicate position, as Turkey also cooperates in the defense sector with Russia, Ukraine's rival.
The Kremlin said Wednesday that Turkey's supply of drones to Ukraine risks destabilizing the eastern Ukraine conflict despite Moscow's "Special" relations with Ankara.

2021.10.27 13:01 _coach_bombay_ Saw a friend I haven’t seen in over a month, he told me I look like a completely different person.
Ran into a buddy, at a bar of all places, while meeting with some friends to watch the game. Buddy I ran into hasn’t seen me since I have been working out the last few months and not drinking for over 3 weeks. Dude told Me I look like a completely different person, and it made me feel amazing, thought I would share for those struggling. Not to mention I was able to hang out at a packed bar with friends/coworkers and only have soda/lime, with no pressure put on me to have a drink. Can’t believe I’ve made it this far tbh.

2021.10.27 13:01 rowaway7853 Employee stock implications with legal entity change
The company I work for (> 500 employees) is doing some organizational restructuring as part of which the legal entity that employs me will change. They are telling me to resign from the previous legal entity and sign an offer with the new legal entity.
I have got vested ESOPS (not exercised) issued by previous entity, and my biggest worry is if anything can happen to them. The HR assures me in chat that nothing will change, but the new offer letter has no mention of stock. Speaking to them doesn't help much since they deflect direct questions and repeat standard statements over and over.
I have heard hearsay about companies pulling shady tactics when it comes to employee stock but don't understand these things well. Could anyone with experience in this area chime in on this situation? Does this look particularly shady to you? What would you do in this situation?
If there is any verbal clarification provided over chat or email, will that hold weight later? How much can I rely on it? It will be a long time before I get to exercise my options at which point I don't know what the situation will be or who will be around. Is there anything I need to be doing now to safeguard my interests?
